Medical student Kychelle Del Rosario faced serious backlash after a controversial tweet regarding the deliberate absence of a patient’s vein, apparently in response to mockery over her pronoun badge.

While the university initially placed her on leave, an investigation concluded that her statement did not match the actual incident, sparking debate over the institution’s response and its potential ramifications.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated event, a tenured English professor, Dr. Omaar Hena, was placed on leave following the distribution of explicit online content about him.

Although she taught at the university for 15 years, Hena’s actions led to internal investigations and wide discussions within the Wake Forest community.
