Who is Dr. Bruce Aronwald?
Dr. Bruce Aronwald, self-identified as “Trump’s personal physician since 2021,” states in the memo that Trump’s most recent comprehensive exam took place on September 13, 2023.
Aronwald claimed that Trump’s cardiovascular studies showed normal results, that cancer screenings were negative, and that Trump had also successfully reduced his weight.

Trump, 77, has come under scrutiny following recent verbal missteps, fueling speculation about his cognitive health, CNN reports.
Most recently, Trump spoke to a crowd in Sioux City, Iowa, where he inadvertently expressed gratitude to attendees for coming to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, prompting a state senator State of Iowa to try to correct its situation. The entire exchange was accidentally picked up by a live microphone.
At a subsequent summit held in Washington, D.C., Trump made a statement suggesting that Biden could start “World War II,” which ended nearly eight decades ago. Additionally, he appeared to confuse Biden with former President Barack Obama, saying he was ahead of Obama in election polls.
The discussion around Trump’s fitness for office intensified following Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ comment that the presidency is not suitable for individuals “turning 80.”
DeSantis compared his own relative youth to Trump’s age, highlighting his concerns about the abilities of older leaders compared to their younger counterparts.

Internet reacts with skepticism to latest report on Trump’s health
Public reaction to Aronwald’s rating was mixed, with doubts about the credibility of the assessment. Social media was buzzing with skepticism, questioning the qualifications and impartiality of Trump’s doctor.
On X, one social media user commented: “About the glowing medical report on Trump. : This guy is a DO in New Jersey. He is not qualified to give such opinions and does not have the education or ability to do cognitive testing. I bet. Mr. Trump continues to drink Diet Coke and fast food.”

Another user criticized the content of the health report, saying: “Trump’s doctor reveals health report: ‘Cognitive exams were exceptional.’ » This is NOT a medical diagnosis. It’s almost as if Trump wrote it himself, like he did with his ‘doctor’s letter’ in 2015.”

Trump’s Past Controversies Related to Health Assessments
This isn’t the first time Trump’s health assessments have sparked controversy. In 2015, a similar letter from Dr. Harold Bornstein claimed that Trump would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”
Bornstein later admitted that Trump had dictated the entire letter, raising concerns about the authenticity of such statements, as reported by NPR.
Additionally, during Trump’s tenure in the White House, then-presidential physician Dr. Ronny Jackson provided a favorable assessment of Trump’s health. Despite Jackson’s praise, Trump’s tenure has faced intense scrutiny.
A Pentagon inspector general report also accused Jackson of inappropriate conduct, including drinking alcohol, making sexual comments and mistreating subordinates, allegations he vehemently denied, NBC reported.
