Tiger Woods’ Ex-Girlfriend Drops Appeal, Sexual Assault Allegations Against Golfer

TAMPA, FLORIDA: Erica Herman, ex-partner of Tiger Woods, has dropped her appeal and allegations of sexual assault against the golfer.

According to new court documents from Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal, Herman, 38, filed a formal notice of dismissal of her appeal, which initially sought to overturn a nondisclosure agreement she signed in 2017 at the start of their relationship, KVUE reports. .

In May, a judge ruled that Herman could not be released from his NDA, leading Woods’ ex-girlfriend to appeal.

Herman’s original lawsuit had cited the Speak Out Act, which allows an exception to NDAs for victims of sexual assault.

Herman claims she never accused Woods

However, Herman now claims she never accused Woods of sexual harassment.

In her recent statement on Friday, Herman claimed that she was never the victim of sexual harassment or abuse by Tiger Woods or any of his representatives. She maintains she never made such allegations.

The appeal was dismissed by court order on Tuesday, November 14.

When did Herman first file a lawsuit against Woods?

In December, Herman filed a lawsuit, claiming Tiger Woods owed him $30 million.

The basis of her complaint is that Woods allegedly evicted her prematurely from his residence, violating the terms of their alleged “oral agreement” which granted her the right to reside there for an additional five years.

She then filed a separate lawsuit on March 6, asking to be removed from her nondisclosure agreement, citing a law that allows NDAs to be rescinded in cases of sexual assault.

Herman’s initial complaint stated that Woods and Herman “had a long relationship” both professional and personal.

Herman claimed she “currently did not know what other information about her own life she could discuss or with whom,” the complaint states.

What did the golfer’s lawyer say?

Woods’ lawyers refuted Herman’s claims in a filing. The golfer’s lawyers said: “Ms. Herman’s position is completely without merit. It is a clear abuse of the legal process that undermines the purpose of federal law and those whom the law seeks to protect. protect.”

Herman dropped the $30 million lawsuit over his alleged eviction in July.

The filing says Herman signed the NDA in 2017, requiring him to resolve differences privately, “in return for ‘the opportunity’ to continue spending time with Mr. Woods.”

Woods’ lawyers said, “For more than six years, Ms. Herman enjoyed the benefits of his agreement,” in court papers, alleging that his ex-girlfriend “made salacious and insidious implications” in the allegations relating to disputes relating to sexual assault.
