Prince Andrew ‘bewildered’ ‘desperate’ after being cut off from the Queen’s $782million fortune, sources say
LONDON, UK: Is there any legacy drama in the royal family? Sources say the disgraced Prince Andrew is unhappy about apparently not receiving any money from his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II. The current monarch, King Charles, is the sole beneficiary of his mother’s estate. It is said to be for tax reasons – In 1993 a decision was made that when a monarch passes on assets to another monarch, there is no inheritance tax to be levied on the transfer.
However, it also means that the king’s siblings – Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward – did not receive any money. According to The Sun, the Duke of York is unhappy with the way his brother has not split the inheritance money. He would be “desperate” and “disconcerted” by this decision, which places the 782 million dollars of inheritance in the sole hands of the king. Reports say that while all of his siblings feel rejected for not receiving the money they believe is owed to them, there is “some resentment”, particularly from Prince Andrew.

“Andrew is desperate”
“He is in despair. He’s a family member, for god’s sake,” a friend of the royal had said. “What is he supposed to do?” Go cap in hand to his older brother to keep a roof over his head? The friend then fumed about Prince Andrew’s situation, saying: ‘He was left completely in the dark…he had no idea this was going to happen. I guess he checked and it’s true. Everything has gone from “monarch to monarch”. The pal also felt the whole situation was a “disaster” and complained about how “things are going from bad to worse.”
Is Prince Andrew About to ‘Do a Harry?’
News of the inheritance dispute comes shortly after it was reported that the king had refused to pay a $38,500 bill for Andrew, who had sought the services of an Indian healer. The healer, a yogi, is said to live at the Royal Lodge, for up to a month at a time.
With the ousted prince having no income of his own and him being demoted from working status, he seems to be dependent on his brother for financial support. However, sources say that may not be the case for a long time. Daily Mail reports that the prince plans to take part in a primetime interview and ‘do a Harry’ to make ends meet. It comes as the Sussexes were asked to leave Frogmore Cottage – which is rumored to be emptied for Prince Andrew to live there as he also prepares to be removed from his 30-bedroom mansion at Royal Lodge.
