Pantera Extend Tour 2024

Fans will have the chance to witness Pantera’s moving live performances in addition to celebrating the band’s legacy with this extended tour. The route is made even more exciting by the addition of new Canadian stops in Winnipeg, Toronto and Quebec. Additionally, in August, Pantera will tour with Metallica over the summer, giving fans even more chances to see the band perform live. Founded in 1981, Pantera is a well-known heavy metal band from Arlington, Texas. The Abbott brothers, drummer Vinnie Paul and guitarist Dimebag Darrell formed the basis of the group. The band’s personnel changed over the years, eventually settling on Phil Anselmo as lead singer and Rex Brown as bassist.

The Abbott brothers and this formation are considered to be the most emblematic formations of the group. When Phil Anselmo joined Pantera in 1986, the band’s musical style shifted from glam metal to a harder sound. Their big hit, 1990’s “Cowboys from Hell,” marked the start of the groove metal movement. Pantera became one of the most successful and important bands in heavy metal history, amassing an estimated 20 million records worldwide and receiving four Grammy Award nominations. However, the group experienced internal conflicts, culminating in its disbandment in 2003 after a hiatus in 2001. When Dimebag Darrell was shot and died on stage during a concert in 2004, the group had to deal with the grief.
