According to several media, Nas EBK was arrested and charged with murdering the man during the shooting in Times Square. This incident happened in February. According to reports, on Friday, March 10, 2023, the Bronx drill rapper was picked up in New Jersey and then brought back to Midtown for detention. Reports indicate that the rapper was involved in an altercation with the victim on February 9, 2023 at the corner of the very public intersection of 44th Street and 8th Avenue in Times Square. The altercation would have lasted with the rapper and he would have shot the victim.

The bullet hit the right side of the victim’s chest and he was seriously injured. The victim was identified as Idressa Siby, 22. The report further adds that Siby fled but fell a block later into a Chick-fil-A. Numerous attempts to retrieve him from the scene proved futile and he later succumbed to his injuries at Mount Sinai West. The police filed a complaint and specified that the duo already knew each other and that the victim was indeed the intended target. 2nd degree charges are brought against him. However, the rapper asserted his innocence, taking to his social media account the day of his detention with the message which reads “INNOCENT”.
