What did Myna Snacks say about the backlash?
Controversy arose when accusations surfaced that Midnight Mini Cookies bore a striking resemblance to a Creations Foods product.
Fans pointed out identical nutritional information and ingredients, suggesting it was a “money grab attempt” involving rebranding or white labeling the product.
Amid the controversy, Myna Snacks released a statement to respond to online criticism.
A spokesperson for Myna Snacks said in an email to Dexerto: “Our product formulation is unique to Myna and exclusive to us. We can confirm that Midnight Mini Cookies have been in development for two years. This process included many rounds of testing and ingredient changes.
Additionally, the inclusion of vitamin D-rich mushroom powder in Myna Snacks’ cookies is one of the key distinctions between the two products.
Fans, however, took exception to the fact that Myna Snacks cost nearly three times as much per weight for what appeared to be a comparable product.
