Jimmy Kimmel Makes Sure No One Goes Hungry at Oscars With ‘Surprise’ Snack Boxes, Fans Say ‘A Class Act’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Kimmel, host of the 2023 Oscars, added another feather to his cap. The ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ host reportedly provided “snacks for everyone at the #Oscars” as well as a generous donation to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
The host of the 95th Academy Awards recently broke the news on his “Jimmy Kimmel Live” social media account, drawing huge applause from his fans. Kimmel, 55, shared a photo of the treats and candies box and captioned her post: “We don’t like when people are hungry so Jimmy provided snacks for everyone at the #Oscars and has includes a donation to the @LAFoodBank for each! #Oscars @ShappyPretzel @TheAcademy.”

Although Kimmel did a “fantastic” job at the Oscars, sections of fans were unhappy with her comments on things like calling the Indian movie “RRR” a Bollywood movie and bringing Jenny the donkey on stage.
Kimmel posted on her Instagram account an excerpt from her sketch with Jenny the Donkey on stage. Alluding to Jenny the donkey from “The Banshees of Inisherin!” the host of the 95th Academy Awards brought the adorable animal on stage and called him “a certified emotional support donkey.”
Kimmel also came under fire from fans for making a mistake in his monologue when he called SS director Rajamouli “RRR” a Bollywood movie. Part of the fans reacted to this as the director had clearly stated earlier that it is a Telugu language original film.
Kimmel also made a series of subtle references to last year’s “Slapgate” with Will Smith on the awards night. On Instagram, he posted an excerpt from his Oscars speech which read, “Our next categories Documentary which as you may recall is where things went off the rails last year. Hopefully tonight that goes off without a hitch. Or at least without a hitch.”

On Kimmel’s post about her snack boxes and food donation, fans shared their love widely. “Excellent! Enjoyed the Oscars tonight!! Good job Jimmy,” one fan wrote. Another fan commented, “You crushed it Jimmy! Sans Hitch! You were hilarious!
