‘I’m out’: Martha Stewart says she canceled her Thanksgiving dinner because ‘someone got sick’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Martha Stewart may be known for making grand arrangements for Thanksgiving, but this year it seems like she’s taking a break.
The American businesswoman and writer revealed on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Thursday, November 16, that she had scrapped plans to host a Turkey Day meal and would instead visit to his friends for the next vacation.

“I gave up on Thanksgiving. I canceled,” the 82-year-old said, according to People. “Nine guests canceled because someone got sick. So…I called my chef friend and said, ‘We’re not doing Thanksgiving,'” she added.

The lifestyle mogul also revealed what led her to decide to cancel Thanksgiving this year. She said she had already prepared several meals before the holiday. “I’ve also already cooked 14 turkeys for my TV show, and I still have to [cook] one more turkey on the ‘Today’ show,” she explained, adding, “So forget it.”

Additionally, she was also on the “Today” show on Thursday, November 16, giving her tips for perfecting turkey as part of the NBC morning show’s eighth annual All-Star Thanksgiving special.

Host Kelly Clarkson asked on her show if Stewart was “completely crazy,” to which Stewart responded, “I’m crazy.”

Stewart noted that she would be on the road for Thanksgiving, going from house to house to sample the food. “I made a plan,” Stewart shared, adding “Friends, of course, invited me to their houses, so I’m going to five different houses to try different dishes.”
Clarkson, 41, noted that “these friends must be so stressed,” to which her guest playfully responded with a laugh: “Oh, I hope so.”
“If you came to my house, I would definitely lie and say that I cooked it and someone else would,” the host joked.

Stewart rang in the occasion in October with a “fall weekend festival” with her granddaughter Jude, 12, and her friends. “Whew! We survived the fabulous fall weekend festival with six 12 year old girls,” Stewart captioned her photo on Instagram.
She went on to say that she offers tweens “non-stop activities including pumpkin carving, glamping, hiking, horseback riding, dining, apple picking, apple cider pressing, and more .”
“I received the best thank you notes and we all slept well after a fun two-day weekend,” Stewart added, showing off some of the girls’ handmade cards. “The girls are fabulous. Smart. Fun. Thoughtful. And above all lovely human beings!!!!!!!!”

“My Thanksgiving decorations were all about the bird!” » the TV host wrote alongside one of the posts.
“112 at last count! glass, wood, gold, gold, metal, composite, porcelain, etc. fun for kids to count. keeps each one busy for at least twenty minutes!”, she added.
Stewart’s friend, designer Christopher Spitzmiller, attended the 2022 festivities at his farm and shared a series of photos and videos from the event. “Today we had the best Thanksgiving ever,” he wrote alongside his post, adding “A big thank you to @marthastewart48 for including us in the festivities and for their continued friendship. “
Spitzmiller later praised the food, writing, “Every dish was delicious and watching Martha make the gravy was a special treat. I had the honor of carving the turkey and it was a magical day. So many reasons to be grateful.”
