CLEVELAND, OHIO: Less than two weeks ago, at WWE’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio to win the United States Championship. Since then, the social media celebrity has received numerous recognitions for her performance in this game.
Notably, Paul’s quick thinking saved Mysterio from a potentially disastrous fall to his neck when he came off the ropes, leapfrogging Paul and heading straight to the mat.

Jake Paul doesn’t want credit for saving Rey Mysterio’s life
The specific message – that Paul saved Mysterio’s life – was highlighted in many headlines. Paul, being a natural marketer, used a similar message to announce the most recent edition of his podcast in which he shared his thoughts on the match and the incident.
To his credit, though, he’s not only relishing the immense gratitude and praise the professional wrestling world has bestowed upon him. He also recognizes the mistake he made during the process that required him to save Mysterio in the first place, according to Wrestle Ops.

He said, “Look, I’ll be honest, because I’ve seen all these positive headlines, ‘Logan saves Rey Mysterio,’ the Mexican community is going crazy, they’re praising me, saying I’m some kind of hero . So I’m like, damn, I’m getting recognized for doing something cool. I’ll take it, but then I watched the clip…and after evaluating my performance, even though I thought I saved Rey Mysterio, I think I also almost killed Rey Mysterio.

He added: “I think I was too far away for the movement and I think he didn’t clear enough ground for the movement, that’s what happened like…I was too far and he didn’t clear enough ground we both took a step. mistake and I had to catch him and I wasn’t going to not catch him. So honestly as much as I like the headlines and I like being pumped up like that, I was just doing my job.
