The film is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of the tech mogul released in September, titled “Elon Musk.” It details Musk’s journey to fame, his rise through the efforts of SpaceX, selling a million cars through Tesla, and becoming the richest individual in the world.

Isaacson wrote about Musk’s roller coaster life by following his life for over two years. In addition to showing the current life of the SpaceX founder, the author attempts to paint a picture of Musk’s troubled and tortured relationship with his oppressive father. According to Isaacson, Musk’s childhood profoundly influenced his romantic relationships.
“Musk was not raised for domestic tranquility. Most of his romantic relationships involve psychological turmoil,” Isaacson observes.

According to Variety, A24 won the bidding war after intense competition between studios and filmmakers to turn Isaacson’s book into a film.
Aronofsky’s surreal cinematic style often includes psychological elements, evident in his films like “Requiem for a Dream,” “Black Swan” and “Mother.” It remains to be seen how the critically acclaimed director will bring the billionaire’s life to the screen.
Internet unimpressed with potential Elon Musk biopic
News of a possible biopic about the Tesla founder did not arouse public interest. Musk’s public approval took a turn for the worse after he acquired Twitter and renamed it X.
Reactions on social media suggest that it is difficult for people to digest the fact that a director like Aronofsky, who usually focuses on psychological fiction, is captaining such a project.
