Hayden L. Gipson, 16, sadly killed Monday, November 13 after being injured in a car accident, is mourned by the Middleburg community. Middle-West High School student Hayden was passionate about basketball and wanted to play for the upcoming bowling team. Hayden was employed at Burger King in Middleburg and in the shoe department at the Susquehanna Valley Mall. He was previously employed by Burger King. Hayden found comfort in fishing, exploring on his four-wheeler, and going on motorcycle adventures with his father when he was not at school or work. His parents and friends knew how much he loved sloths.

Regardless of their siblings’ funny antics, Hayden always had a special place in his heart for his siblings. On Friday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., friends and family are invited to pay their respects by visiting Beavertown God Missionary Church, 1693 Creek Rd., Middleburg. Following burial at Glendale Cemetery in Middleburg, the funeral service will be held at the same location at 11 a.m., officiated by the pastors of the church. First National Bank has established a memorial fund to help cover burial costs. You may make checks payable to the “Hayden L. Gipson Memorial Fund” for donations.

Joshua G. Gipson of Middleburg and Beth A. (Bingaman) Gipson of Selinsgrove are the parents of Hayden L. Gipson, born in Lewisburg on February 12, 2007. He was attending Midd-West High School at the time, where he played basketball -ball the previous season and was planning to join the bowling team this year. Hayden worked in the shoe department at the Susquehanna Valley Mall, after working at Burger King in Middleburg. He enjoyed driving, fishing, four-wheeling and riding motorcycles with his father. The sloth was one of his favorite creatures. It was known that Hayden would torture his sisters and brothers.
