Floodlights go on in Duxbury to remember the tragic death of the children of Laney Ladd and Clancy
DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: Duxbury is still not in shock over the tragic incident of a mother, Lindsay Clancy, who allegedly killed her own children. In memory of the three children who were killed by their own mothers and another child who died of sudden illness, Duxbury has now installed four lights in the name of ‘4 Angels Memorial’.
Many rushed to the vigil to pay their respects to the young souls who left in early January. The lights were shown at Duxbury on March 2, 2023. Clancy’s tragic murder-suicide attempt resulted in the deaths of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. However, the fourth child, 6-year-old Laney Ladd, who has no connection to the murders, died of a sudden illness. Clancy was charged with two counts of murder, three counts of strangulation and three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

What is the meaning of the lights?
The lights are named “4 Angels Memorial”. It is currently displayed outside the Church of the Holy Family in Duxbury. The lights are used to represent children whose lights have disappeared too soon. Handfield, who is a longtime resident and the man behind the idea for the lights, told the media: “The tragedies have affected a lot of people in the city. The city needed something positive. … I thought just that it would be just a It’s a good thing to honor all the children. I hope this helps a lot of people in town in different ways. There are three white lights for the Clancy children and purple ones for Ladd, which is her favorite color. The lights were turned on by Patrick Clancy’s parents, along with Jeff and Erin Ladd. Tim Heinstadt, who is the church’s maintenance sponsor, said, “I think everyone everyone gets what they want out of it, but it’s interesting,” he said. “You go there, and even at 10 at night I go there some nights, and people are just sitting in their car watching it,” according to Boston.com.
GoFundMe campaign for the “4 Angels Memorial”
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to make lights a symbol for children. The campaign note read: “The ‘4 Angels Memorial’ will be a temporary memorial to Laney Ladd and the three children Clancy, Cora, Dawson and Callan, which will be installed in the lower grassy area of Holy Family Church. in Duxbury, Mass. The memorial consists of four individual spotlights pointing skyward (three yellow and one purple), a symbol of their eternal light and to honor their memory.The memorial will take place the month of March beginning with a candlelight vigil the first weekend in March. Further, he added, “Pat Clancy and the Ladds have given their full approval to the project. Duxbury Town Council approved the project at their meeting on 2/13. 100% of the profits will go directly to the rental of projectors and the electricity bill of Holy Family Church. All additional funds raised will be donated to the “Love for Lane” playground project.
