Elizabeth Debicki opens up about her role as Princess Diana on ‘The Crown’ and says she ‘learned a lot’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Elizabeth Debicki has given a glimpse into the role of Princess Diana in the hugely popular Netflix series “The Crown.” Speaking at the show’s Season 6 premiere in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 11, Debicki, 33, said she “learned a lot” playing the late princess.
“I don’t think you can learn as much as I have learned about this character and not think that the only thing worth doing in life is putting love into the world” , Debicki told People.

“I mean, I think I learned things about the extent to which she had a huge, wicked sense of humor, the difficulties she faced, the way she triumphed over them, the way she used his voice in a way that was sort of very progressive at the time,” Debicki told the outlet. “Yes, I learned a lot.”

Princess Diana tragically lost her life in a car accident on August 31, 1997, after being chased by photographers through the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris. The Australian actress looked chic in an off-the-shoulder black dress at Saturday’s premiere. She also wore a pair of matching heels and let her hair fall into a middle part.

Debicki, who won the AACTA Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, was also photographed posing alongside her on-screen sons Rufus Kampa and Fflyn Edwards, who play Prince William and Prince Harry.
Other actors such as Khalid Abdalla, Luther Ford, Ed McVey, Meg Bellamy and Jonathan Pryce also gathered for a group photo.

Season 6 will be the final season of ‘The Crown’
Netflix released the official trailer for “The Crown” season 6 last month. It has been officially confirmed that this will be the final season of the series.
The two-minute teaser featured numerous photos of Debicki as Princess Diana playing the piano, as well as her photographed with love interest Dodi Fayed.
The first part of the final season will debut on November 16 on Netflix with four episodes, focusing on the events surrounding the death of Princess Diana. But, according to the media, the fatal accident will not be shown in the series.

The second part of the season will air on December 14 with six episodes. The role is expected to highlight numerous storylines, including King Charles and Camilla’s progression in their relationship, as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton’s romance.
