Cardi B slammed officials, questioning them about her family’s future. “What’s going to happen to my nieces, what’s going to happen to my nephews, what’s going to happen to my cousins, my aunts, my friends who live in the neighborhood,” said the “Bodak Yellow” rapper. “I’m from the Bronx, I don’t want my shit affected.”
According to a CBS report, there will be a $5.5 million cut in sanitation, increasing concerns about New York turning into a dirty and potentially dangerous city.
“Everyone says ‘New York is dirty,’ and it’s dirty, and we’re going to get dirtier with these fucking budget cuts,” the singer lashed out.
She continued to talk about her concerns about likely future sanitation problems. “Crimes are going to skyrocket because there’s a cut in the police security budget and on top of that there’s a fucking cut in the sanitation budget, so that means we’re going to drown in rats.”
She also warned that other states would soon face similar budget cuts. “Mayor Eric said it, there is a budget reduction underway in New York and little by little, it will be reflected in all the states.”
“The mayor announces a $120 million budget cut, and believe me, if they make a big budget cut in New York, look, it’s going to start going to your state. We can’t fund these wars, we we can do it.” I barely finance this country,” added Cardi B.
