LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Top producers, including Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon, are fighting for the rights to produce the film adaptation of the Britney Spears biopic, leading the Internet to speculate who will ultimately win.
Amid much speculation online, many fans have speculated that Brad Pitt might be Spears’ preferred choice due to her well-known admiration for the “Troy” actor and celebrity crush.

However, that didn’t stop fans from begging Spears to give the rights to Witherspoon, as many believed a female producer would do her story justice.
Following the successful launch of the Grammy-winning singer’s memoir on Oct. 24, rumors about a potential screen adaptation of Spears’ “The Woman in Me” have surfaced, as Page Six reports.
Sales of “The Woman in Me” exceeded one million in the first week of release. This remarkable feat earned the book the coveted number one spot on the New York Times bestseller list.

A source close to Spears opened up about the project’s development and said, “It’s just starting to take shape,” according to Page Six.
Ankler, who initially broke the news that several producers had expressed interest in the project, also humorously remarked, “Oops…I did it again!”

The singer postponed a meeting with a top producer, citing a sudden change in her plans because she wasn’t in the right frame of mind for it.
According to a source, the Grammy-winning singer feels “overwhelmed by the reaction” and “media frenzy” surrounding the release and subsequent success of her book.
The source also mentioned that this overwhelming situation has caused his team to “postpone any major decisions regarding the destination of the rights until they have a chance to take a break.”
