The announcement coincided with the reveal that the upcoming season will feature a new group of coaches, including Kelly Clarkson, who returns after a break, and newcomers Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.

Shelton has served as a judge on “The Voice” since the show launched in 2011, serving as a coach on every episode. He was part of the original cast alongside Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green. With eight wins for #TeamBlake, he proudly holds the record for most wins by a coach in the show’s history. His winning competitors include Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Craig Wayne Boyd, Sundance Head, Chloe Kohanski, Todd Tilghman and Cam Anthony. But perhaps even more special is that Shelton met his wife, Gwen Stefani, while working on “The Voice,” and they tied the knot in July 2021.

Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine recently commented on Shelton’s departure from “The Voice.” stars such as Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Usher and Nick Jonas joined as coaches. Speaking at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Levine, who has yet to comment on Shelton’s departure, said, “It’s about time!”
